Norwegian microgrid chooses SRG approach

The Microgrid Sandbakken project at the Norwegian Smart Grid demo site at Hvaler, next to the Oslofjord, follows the Smart Rural Grid project very closely.  The project is run and financed by the Hvaler municipality and encompasses a recycling plant for waste, 1200 sq.meter of solar panels, 4 wind generators and 4 recharging sites for electric vehicles.  The design of an IDPR based solution is under way and will include 220kWh of battery capacity.
